(Nasdaq:YHOO - News), a leading global Internet company, today announced that it has established a research center on the East Coast and has appointed Dr. Ron Brachman as vice president of worldwide research operations. Brachman, who joins Yahoo! from DARPA and AT&T Labs, will be based at Yahoo!'s newly-opened research center in New York City. The center will focus on key technologies in the areas of computer science and social media relevant to Yahoo!'s products and services.
ということらしい．うーむ．Google Labs に比べるとちょっと拠点拡大のペースが遅いような気もするけれど，まあ後発ならではの研究活動に期待しよう．
